About Us
The Company
Lyons Law is a boutique law firm primarily servicing the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui, established in 2017 by Dana R. Lyons. We are a full-service law firm specializing in business and commercial law, real estate, estate planning, and collections. Lyons Law prides itself on being an advocate especially for small businesses and local people interested in securing their keiki for the future. We are also committed to helping clients find solutions to problems they may encounter and are prepared to defend our clients’ rights and business interests from illegitimate infringements. Further, Lyons Law seeks to make significant positive contributions to uplift and improve the local community and promote cultural values.
Meet the Attorney
The managing attorney for Lyons Law is Dana R. Lyons. Mr. Lyons has been a licensed practitioner in the State of Hawaii since 2006. Having worked at some of the most prestigious law firms in Honolulu, Mr. Lyons is an expert in commercial law, litigation, and real estate. He has over a decade of experience in servicing a variety of clients, from large lenders and corporations, to local businesses, professionals, and families.
Dana Lyons grew up in Honolulu and is a graduate of Moanalua High School. From there, Mr. Lyons earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1999, majoring in English Literature with a focus on creative writing. Following a stint teaching English to high school students in Fukuoka, Japan, Mr. Lyons enrolled at the University of Oregon School of Law. With a study heavily focused on real estate, commercial paper, and estate planning, Mr. Lyons earned his Juris Doctorate in 2006 and returned home to begin his legal career.
Mr. Lyons served as a board member with the young leader divisions of Aloha United Way and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Lyons also volunteers his time among various non-profit organizations, such as Keiki o ka Aina and Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii. In 2004, he was a law clerk to Judge Karen M. Radius in the Family Court of the First Circuit, State of Hawaii. During 2011 to 2014, Mr. Lyons served as a Senior Project Judge for Moanalua High School. From 2013 to 2015, Judge Robert J. Faris appointed him as a Judicial Conference Delegate to the U.S. District Court, District of Hawaii.
In his free time, Mr. Lyons enjoys traveling, hiking, playing basketball, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening, reading, writing, and spending time with his family, including his wife, two sons, and their dog.
